Great Happy Hour deal! 50% off all liquor & $1.99 x domestic beer. Can't beat that! Not impressed with the calamari which wasn't entirely coated with the breading or fried evenly; tasted gummy. The Super Nachos were loaded & filling, but I'll probably feel the heartburn later :( Fresher ingridients would be nice! The Buffalo BBQ Wings tasted more like the BBQ Grill they were made in rather than buffalo sauce, yet still edible & not entirely terrible for $.50 cents each. The 3 stars are definitely owed to the excellent service we received. Our waitress constantly checked on us & refilled our drinks, when needed. She told us she was new but did a great job! Would probably come back to catch a game on the weekends, if I'm in the area for the drink specials.

this is on service only as i walked out before i orderd. we cam in a half an hour before they were supposed to close, the said we had 5 mins to deiced and then she took off, after making us panic Eff That! im sure the food is good, i would have loved to stay but not with a ticking time bomb for an appatizer

Very expensive, fried fish sandwich was tasteless. The smoked fish dip was salty and waterty.

I asked for something special and got it!!! What a great all around experience!! Check out the Seafood Extravaganza!! Great Experience all the way around!!!
(5)Naomi W.
It was hot in there. Burger was average came with lettuce and tomato no onion or pickled. Thin fries were good. However food much better at Hobo's!!
(2)Morgan H.
Went in for lunch last week. Split nachos and fried shrimp with my boyfriend. The nachos were supposed to have "homemade chips and chili" what we got was a small pile of off brand tortilla chips with that canned nacho cheese and a few drops of watered down chili and some canned jalapeños. The fried shrimp was chewy. Menu stated that it came with some kind of sauce that I can't remember the name of, but we just got regular old cocktail sauce. How boring. $32 for 2 ice teas, nachos and fried shrimp. $32 I would have rather spent at McDonald's.

Burgers are large. Fries were great--fried crispy, the way I like them. Blackened snapper sandwich was very good (served on toasted wheat bread). Good wings. Their sign says they have sangria, but they don't. Good for lunch.

I really like this place. We stop here every time we come to The Keys. The service was wonderful, the food was great and they have the BEST sweet potato fries I have ever had.
(5)Kristina M.
Staff was super nice and had great service. Prices were very fair compared to where we were originally gonna go across the street to the fish house. So HAPPY we found this place, the food was awsome and great prices!! They recommended the fried key lime pie and it was great. My family will deff. be coming back here again! :) Cory was super nice.

I went here while on vacation and I had a fairly good experience- service was ok due to new waiters but they were very friendly. I ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer and it came in small portion size and was a bit soggy. I also ordered wings and fish tacos. The wings were a bit harder than i would have liked and the fish tacos were great. It is family friendly but sort of reminds me of a hooters with seafood. There were Tvs everywhere and the guys at the bar were a bit rowdy because a Dolphins game was on but if you don't sit at the high tables you don't really notice. Overall a pretty good meal, and I would definitely come back again.

Went for "Happy Hour," drinks were good but very strong. My wife was drinking "mojitos" and I was in my glory with 18 different draft beers. It is a typical sports bar, with lots of TV's. The happy hour finger food was quite good although probably not good for you. Service was very good, with lots of staff who were pleasant and efficient. The only negative was It was loud, I guess typical for a sports bar. Would go there again.

YUM --- order the secret sauce wings! SO DANG GOOD!!!

Just so you know my perspective: couple early 30's.I went both Friday and Saturday for dinner and drinks. Service was okay - Cindy the bartender was much better than the waitress I had the second night. Cindy shared funny stories and made us feel very welcome. The food runner/ expo was awesome - outstanding work ethic! Wings are awesome! They fry and grill them. Sliders are good - meat was a little dry but I'm sure cooking the mini patties isn't easy - hand packed meat - good bun. Fish taco's are awesome! There was the same female manager on both nights - she seemed to be lost at times - getting in the way of the expo slowing him down and putting the wrong dressing with dishes. They closed early both nights - 11:00 on Friday and 10:00 on Saturday - according to google they should have been open until 12:30 both nights - which was kind of disappointing. On Saturday they even had people walking in close to 10:00 and they ignored them. That wouldn't have been okay with me if I was the owner! It is family owned with family fishing photo's all over the walls. Visited April 2013

We came after a long day of fishing and diving. We ordered the Bahamian Style Conch Fritters. Deep fried conch fritters, served with Special Caribbean Dressing. They tasted really good. Perfectly fried. The came my Monster D-Hooker Burger. A double stacked charbroiled sirloin, loaded burger with cheese. I have to say this burger was pretty descent. I've tried plenty of burgers and this one is certainly above average. I would give this place three stars due to the service. She was sweet. We asked for extra plates for our appetizer and the she never brought them. She stopped at the bar to talk to the bartender and another waitress. The waitress was definitely slow to serve. The only time she hovered over us was when she dropped of the check. I hate when they hover over you. It makes you feel like they want you get the *blank* out. So the bottom line is: Nice looking sports bar, good food, the service...ehhhh! Now don't think I'm bashing the service due to one waitress. The rest might be pretty good. I would try D-Hooker again if I'm in Key Largo.

YUM...Oysters, Nachos, Shrimp, Conch Chowder AND the Fresh Tuna sandwich. With D-Hooker Ale. All for $50 including tax. Food was delicious and fresh and super quick and attentive service. AND, right next door to our hotel. Amazing place and great local vibe.
(5)Shannon P.
Ok, so we wanted a cold beer and a quick bite. We walked in and waited at an empty door for at least 5 mins with no one greeting. Three tables of customers noted. Cooks noticed us from kitchen window. No one said squat! Then my hubby went to just sit down and finally a young lady came over and said, "Hi, two for lunch?" And we proceeded to sit. An attractive Russian girl came to take our order, who was nice but totally not together!! We had delicious wings and cold beer and we'd go back for wings, only. Just didn't like scattered wimpy celery thrown on plate and plastic tubs of dressing. Service, yes it sucked, but she was nice...just clueless.
(3)Michele J.
It was exactly what I was in need of: a plate of hot salty nachos smothered in cheese, and a bacon cheeseburger. Granted, the burger came in the form of sliders, but they were cooked as I asked, which means they weren't sitting around waiting to be nuked. My waitress coudnt have been nicer. Now, it WAS loud in there, but it was Saturday night in the Keys, so what else could I expect? Their only desserts are key lime pie and fried key lime pie, so I passed. Now if they had offered me some ice cream and chocolate cake, we would've been in business!

Went with a friend to watch "March Madness" and sat at the bar. Ordered 10 wings "extra crispy" medium and nachos. Wings were great! Nachos do not have "homemade" chips and the "cheese" is Velveeta dribble sparingly over chips. The salsa spooned on the top is definitely out of a jar. Disappointed in the nachos. Wings, nachos, diet cokes $26. Service was excellent. Yes, it was loud, but hey, it is a sports bar!
(4)Vis P.
Place was clean and conveniently located but food was tasteless and over priced. There are most likely better options in the area.
(2)Natasha R.
Pretty cool place. The wings are delicious and the burgers are yummy too. Good service and selection of food. Most likely will visit here again next time we're in Key Largo.
(4)Sasha R.
SOLID Key Largo sports bar! Came here for Eastern Conference finals game 4 (go Heat!). Crowd was pumped; great spot to watch the game. Mix of locals and tourists on Memorial Day. Sat at the bar, our waitress Chelsea, was great! Super friendly and attentive service even on a busy Monday night. Get here 30 min early for a playoff game to snag a seat. Ordered 1/2 lb. peel and eat shrimp to start. Good size to share between two people. Fresh and well seasoned. For our entrees we shared blackened mahi mahi tacos with onion rings and ribs/chipotle wings dinner with fries. The fish was super fresh and the ribs fell off the bones. Definitely coming back!
(4)Tal T.
GREAT place to watch the game. Sports bar packed with locals, including families, couples, and singles. We enjoyed the many TVs and rowdy environment. Drinks are reasonably priced and there are some specials. Unfortunately, the food was below average. The fish was not fresh or well-seasoned. Service was adequate, considering how crowded they were. 5 stars as a sports bar, 1 star for food, 3 for service.
(3)Darin N.
Worst experience in the Keys. Slow service. Add on salad does not mean you get nothing else. Split bill does not mean down the middle. Slow service.
(1)Michael A.
Went for happy hour glass was at happy hour price but pitcher was full price which was 1/3 more!!!!! No one told us. Second had no oyster or nachos ???? Nachos how can you run out of nachos?? Happy hour ends at different times, some signs say 7PM others say 6PM (scratched thru 7 to 6 ) Not impressed with new owners and I am a local.
(1)Tero J.
Nice burger, good fries and quite wide selection of craft beers. Why only 3 stars you might ask? Well, the waitress gave me cold shoulder when coming in and it continued like that. So the level of service was not really up there with 4/5 star places, unfortunately
(3)Joshua C.
The food was okay at best. However that would have earned 3 stars, our waitress, a bubbly little blond, was great! She was quick and polite, food was served promptly and tasted good. The reason for the single star is the manager. His over powering cologne was enough to ruin our meal all by itself but to sit and watch him publicly scold the staff for seating a family of 3 at a bench ruined the experience all together.
(1)Joseph L.
Just finished an amazing meal at D hookers I had a full rack of fall off the bone baby back ribs and it was exactly that fall off the bone amazingness! This is actually my third time eating there since the new ownership or management took over I have to say the other times were just as good. Even the coleslaw was awesome sweet and juicy!: I also had the conch chowder and it was surprisingly great lots of conch very tender and lots of al dente fresh vegetables. As far as the service goes 5 star aswell. Ashton is an amazing server! She was extremely attentive and was very sweet she always greeted us with a huge smile and was right on point! Oh and by the way the prices are extremely reasonable as well.
(5)David R.
Hit em up about 2:30 after our first choice, Category Three, was closed for the day. It took a looooong time to get our food. Burgers were ordered medium rare but came out well-done. Was charged an extra buck for a tiny container of cole slaw. Really? You had to have the buck and lose two stars? Onion rings were good, crisp and tender; fries were not even passable. Excellent Budweiser, though!
(2)Anita A.
Casual sports bar with good happy hour choices. They have a good beer selection, both bottled and draft. The 50 cent shrimp special was excellent - big shrimp seasoned perfectly. The local special gives you 10% off and a piece of Key Lime Cheesecake.
(3)Maria A.
Real fresh fish! Good and courteous service. New owners were very friendly. Give it a try!
(5)Georgina J.
Ten o'clock at night and the place is packed! I went to the bar for a beer and to order takeout. EXCELLENT SERVICE (thanks Chelsea). I was told it would be a minute as they were very busy. No problem. I'm patient. I didn't even have time to finish my beer (which was nice and ice cold)...and tne wings were delicious! Worth the "wait" for sure.
(5)Maria F.
Had the opportunity of having lunch there this past Friday and thought it was wonderful. Nice relaxing atmosphere, great service and great food very fresh. Worth the drive! Cant wait to go back.
(4)Adalberto M.
Perfect location right on US1 to the right heading south. This place is better than your average sports bar. The items on the menu are very tasty with a staff that is awesome! Highly recommend!!
(5)Katrina O.
Went here to have a few drinks and an appetizer, since it was walking distance from our hotel so we didn't need to drive. Our waitress was new but very friendly. I wanted a margarita and she didn't know what flavors the bartender could make so I asked for strawberry, and I got it. Plastic cup with a straw, lemon wedge, and a cherry. Tasty and strong! We had the chicken quesadilla and took two deep fried key lime pies to go! They were good!!! It's basically a doughy pocket filled with key line pie filling. We got a discount for staying at the Hampton inn, and till 7pm is happy hour, so you get discounted drinks... Not sure what kind of a discount. I would go again. Lost of TVs if there were a game on or something.

D-Hooker is your typical sports bar hangout. This place has been around for a couple of years. I have been there several times and the food is always tasty. I always end up ordering the same entrée: Papa's Fish in a Bag. This dish is prepared using Fresh Mahi Mahi filet with onions, peppers, and special spices grilled inside a foil bag (similar to the French style "en Papillote" - which happens to be my favorite fish preparation). I ordered it with potatoes to soak up the 'juice' left over in the bag. Nom nom nom! This dish has so much flavor; I drool every time. My significant other ordered the fresh fish tacos (prepared with the catch of the day). They could be prepared blackened, friend, or grilled. She opted for Blackened. The tacos are served with cole slaw, pico de gallo, and French fries (we always pass on the cheese). I got to taste one and it was really good. The tortilla was a bit on the flourie side, but the fish and accompaniments were spot on! We had a friend with us and he ordered the whole friend yellow tail snapper. It is literally served as described--whole. Once my friend was done with it, the only thing left was the spinal cord. If you are travelling to/from Key Largo, hungry, and want to try unpretentious seafood, D-Hooker is a great place to go.
(4)Humberto U.
Great fish sandwich. The beer is the coldest that I ever had. Good food good atmosphere for family. Great Key Largo spot. Oh don't forget the conch fritters.
(4)Jeff B.
Worse place I have been too since I lived out west. Being in a town that is relaxed and chill you would think the beer and drinks are good. But if you like quality don't stop. The tequila is watered and the beer is old. The food is better in prison. Trust me I have been and I would rather eat two toned bologna and for those who have been know. Waitress suck and they don't give a sh#t. If you read and still go please tell me your waitress and what you are and drank. Because I had a shot of tequila, loaded nachos and a Guinness. Sorry for all who try.
(1)Will C.
I'll give the wait staff that it was a Friday and they didn't want to be there waiting on us but renae r wAs clearly in over her head. Just two tables and she got them both wrong, manager was not any better. I get it, it's the keys but the owner might want to hire staff that cares about customer service.
(1)Stephanie E.
Your usual sports bar and grill when you drive up and walk in. I was not expeccting such a delicious meal by the look of the place but Was pleasantly surprised by the food. I ordered thr blackened mahi mahi sandwich and my husband ordered ribs and shrimp. Great portion size and very delicious food. There menu has a good amount of meals on it as well. Our waitress wasn't the friendliest girl but the food made up for that..all in all i would go back to this resteraunt next time i am in key largo

D-Hooker was our first dining out experience while visiting Key Largo. We stopped there for lunch, having found a coupon in a local magazine. Walking into the restaurant, it felt like an Ale House (if you're familiar with this popular establishment in Florida), but nowhere near the quality or value. Being in Key Largo, we were all in the mood for seafood. We found that everything on the menu just had "market price" listed. I realize that the prices may fluctuate on particular seafood depending on the season, but when you have to inquire about the pricing on six different things, that's going a bit overboard. We finally just gave up asking questions and ordered. How about a daily menu, D-Hooker, with actual prices on it? I ordered the tuna burger for about $14. It was one of the only seafood options that had a set price on the menu. It was tuna ground up into chunks and mashed together to form a burger. It was actually very big, thick, and juicy. I really enjoyed it, and had it cooked rare, too. What I didn't enjoy was the upcharge in the side items. You get potato chips "free," or you can upgrade to fries for $1.50, seasoned fries for $2.50, or sweet potato fries for $3.50. Ouch! I opted for the seasoned fries. For $1 more than the regular fries, they weren't very seasoned. Salt and pepper on the table would have done (and did) more. My friends ordered the fish tacos (market price) and Hogfish sandwich (market price). The fish tacos were crunchy tacos, which was a bit unexpected, but I guess they were good. The Hogfish sandwich was $19 and tasty, but not really worth the extra cost above a regular fish sandwich (also market price). All in all, D-Hooker is more gimmicky and geared towards guys who want their big manly burgers (they're famous for them, apparently) than people who want a nice, reasonably priced seafood meal. Skip D-Hooker and check out the Pilot House Restaurant instead.
(3)Nicole S.
Typical sports bar with a bonus of serving seafood. Prices weren't anything special. Food was better than average for a non-Keys sports bar. Sharon took great care of us despite the fact that we were the only Seahawks fans in the place for a Seattle/Saints game. The local who bet against the Hawks saying he'd run around the place naked skipped out at half time. Great place for a fun time if you're in the mood for a rowdy good time.
(4)Avery C.
A nice new addition to Key Largo that fills the gap where things where lacking before in town. This place could easily get a five star rating once they get settled in and organized a bit. The food isn't the best and the waitstaff is still get organized so getting the initial service at the table seems to be a bit ruff. That said once we got service it was second to none. D-Hooker is positioned to be exactly what they claim a sports bar that is family friendly. The all female waitstaff that is outfitted in short shorts and tight tops gives the place a bit of a hooters feel with out going over the top. Much like hooters the wings are great and the wait staff are cute but the rest of the food is seriously lacking. This is quickly going to become the spots to watch the football games in town with more flat screen tv's then anywhere else and of course NFL sunday ticket. The only thing stoping it from being a great sports bar is that currently they only sell beer and wine. But this is due to country permit delays from what I hear. Place could really use a pool table as well.
(3)Dax B.
Maybe it was my bad for trying this place out on Super Bowl Sunday.. Place looks like a flannigans, smells like a flannigans and it's loud like a flannigans. I decided to try the ribs like i would at flannigans.. Outcome: this place ain't flannigans. Burger is pretty decent though. The waitresses are drunker than me (i didn't mind but my GF looked annoyed). Definately not enough beer specials for the mess that it was. I'd give the service a 4/10, food a 4/10, and general ambience 6/10. Subpar and mediocre at best. Kinda like a blue collar Jimmy Johnson's.
(2)Theresa D.
Good food. Service was ok. Chris had the fish tacos and I had conch fritters. Both ok. Good sports bar atmosphere.
(3)Richard K.
Staff was fine. Food was fine. I'm fine. Nothing not fine.
(3)Dean W.
Average sports bar atmosphere with slightly better than average bar food. Food is expensive for what you get compared to other local dining choices. I'm not really a fan but this can be a fun place to hangout at night with a group of drinking friends and have some decent food. Don't go here for the food, go for the sports bar atmosphere.
(2)Mike B.
Pretty good food here! My family just got in to the keys late and we were looking for anything open past ten. While the music they were playing was ridiculously loud, we were extremely thankful that they were open and had food food and beer. We got the Big Mahi burger, and were very happy.
(4)Bradley M.
They were right...coldest beer in Key Largo! Food wasn't that bad either...fish tacos. My boys had a burger and a tuna burger. They seemed to like it. Service was ok...friendly but not in tuned with the table. All good...they are on "island time". Lots of TV for football, basketball, baseball, etc. I'd go again!!
(4)Paul S.
Cold beer and wings. Just like any sports bar, but its what it is. We enjoyed it, and will go back. You want the top of the line fish dinner, try Encore. All the dinners we saw were nicely presented. You want wings in Key Largo, here's the place.
(4)Jenna M.
Driving through the Keys I wouldn't normally eat at a restaurant that isn't on the water... but I was pretty hungry and happened to stop here for a bite. Very good food, lots of variety and clean environment. I would return.
(4)Chad G.
Sub-par food...good atmosphere...lots of beers. Don't go for the food, eat before u go!
(2)Rose G.
I'm from Buffalo (home of the chicken wing) and we stopped in for wings. They were not good. I think they were grilled not deep fried like they should be. However, the Key West pink shrimp we're awesome! I would be back in a minute for those! It's a loud sports bar and it was fun!
(3)S W.
We stopped by around lunch time for a drink and light lunch. There is a sign claiming to have the coldest beer around. We split some nachos and each had a beer. When asking what type of beer Key West was, it was described to us as "it's like the color of the table". Okay, the beer was good. Servers seemed a bit air headed and dress on the trashy side. The nachos were nothing special but it was plenty to split for lunch. I had a nice view from the window of a fat iguana in the parking lot.
